2020 COVID-19 Response Plan

Due to the recent rise in COVID-19 cases in the country, we want to assure you we are putting the safety of our customers and team members first. We’re following all best practices and guidelines for sanitation, cleanliness, and precaution for essential businesses like ours to continue helping our customers move forward.

Hired Hands is working hard to protect both customers and employees by:

TESTING AND HEALTH SCREENING

  • All managers and workers employed by Hired Hands will be initially tested for COVID-19 before they begin work and then every two weeks thereafter at the employee’s and management’s discretion.

  • Hired Hands employees, as well as SAI employees, will follow a strict continuous health screening process for individuals to enter the workplace.

    • All employees at the beginning of their shift will be asked if they:

      •  Have had a recent onset of fever, cough, shortness of breath or body aches

      • Have been in the same room with a patient with COVID-19 in the last 14 days

      •  If any of the answers are affirmative, the employee will be asked to go home.

    • SAI will provide a no contact thermometer at the large conference table to check temperatures before any employee may begin work. Each employee in the office must check their temp and log their temp in a log book to be kept near the thermometer. Disinfecting wipes will be available to wipe down the thermometer after each use.  Maximum temperature of 100.4 is allowed. If employee presents higher, he/she will be asked to go home.

EQUIPMENT: SAFETY, CLEANING & DISINFECTING

  • Providing all moving crews with a COVID-19 Safety Kit that includes: masks, gloves, disinfectant and other safety items.

  • Cleaning all equipment at the end of each appointment.

  • Requiring crew members to wash their hands throughout the progression of the job.

  •  Requiring crew members to wear masks whenever necessary.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

  • Limiting any unnecessary contact including customary traditions like greeting customers with a handshake.

  • Asking employees to stay home if they are not feeling well, and customers are asked to reschedule their move if they or someone in their family is not feeling well.

  • When possible, we will try to use multiple vehicles so employees won’t have to ride in the same vehicle.  If not possible, employees will be required to wear masks within the vehicle.

CONTACT TRACING

We will maintain a continuous log of every person, including workers and visitors, who may have close contact with other individuals at the work site or area. The log will be kept with the managing crew member.

Hired Hands is asking customers to help keep everyone safe by:

  • Having customers being prepared to leave their home if possible or at least separate themselves in a room in the house away from the team doing the job

  • Ensuring customers provide access to soap, running water and paper towels for drying at all move locations, as it is essential that crew members are able to wash their hands throughout the progression of the job.

  • Asking customers who have access to masks or face covers to wear them during the walk-through with the crew, as well as maintaining a safe distance of 6 feet or more at all times.

  • Being prepared to do much of their interaction with our team through phone calls, text, and/or FaceTime during the progression of the move or if in person is required maintaining the required social distancing

  • Returning at the end of the job to review the Bills of Lading, to collect payment and any additional documentation. Because we feel that any opportunity for interaction should be limited, signatures and payment will be handled in a safe way using social distancing
